ABSTRACT

Under high‐power blue laser irradiation, the availability of suitable narrow‐band color converters for laser‐driven displays is severely limited by elevated thermal accumulation and high photon flux. As such, we fabricated efficient narrowband green‐emitting β‐SiAlON: Eu 2+ & diamond phosphor‐in‐glass films (PiGFs). The incorporation of diamond particles significantly enhances the thermal conductivity and laser‐driven luminescence performance of the composite material. By optimizing the diamond content to 4 wt%, the luminous flux reached up to 4253 lm in static mode and 5729 lm in rotational mode. Further, when integrated into a laser‐driven display system, β‐SiAlON: Eu 2+ & diamond PiGFs exhibited superior display performance compared to conventional commercial color converters. This study provides valuable guidance for the development of novel narrow‐band color converters for next‐generation displays.
