Introduction. One of the effective areas of development of the domestic industry is the widespread use of innovative materials, such as polymer composite materials (PCM), which have high durability and performance characteristics. The possibilities for obtaining PCM are virtually unlimited, as there is a huge number of combinations of various components suitable for their production. The number of such combinations should be multiplied by the number of different structures of the fillers used, which can be obtained by changing the technology of their production. The aim of this work is to analyze scientific and technical literature to identify the potential for using polymer composite materials in modern construction. Methodology. The study employs a systematic approach to collecting and analyzing existing scientific data on the production and application of PCM. Data from Russian and international sources were used for the analysis. Results. The article analyzes the production volumes of binders, fibrous fillers, and polymer composite materials (PCMs) in the Russian Federation and abroad between 2019 and 2024. The main trends in their production for the period up to 2030 are examined; the segmentation of the global construction market for polymer composites by production volume is presented; and the areas of application of PCM in the construction industry are outlined. The properties of binders used in the production of polymer‑matrix composites for construction purposes, as well as trends in the production and use of reinforcing fibers (glass, basalt, carbon, and aramid), are examined. A trend of increasing fiber production volumes in the Russian Federation is noted. The main methods of producing PCM are presented, and in particular, the pultrusion method, which makes it possible to produce construction products with a specified cross‑section. The effectiveness of using PCM for mounting curtain wall systems is considered. Conclusions. An analysis of scientific and technical literature has shown great potential for the use of polymer composites in modern construction. This is due to the advantages of polymer composites compared to traditional building materials, as they have high performance characteristics with low density and low thermal conductivity. These composite materials have bio- and chemical resistance and a long service life exceeding 50 years, and structures based on them require lower costs for installation and maintenance. The most common method for producing products from PCM is pultrusion, and polyurethanes and epoxy oligomers are used as the polymer matrix. Glass, basalt, and carbon fibers are most often used as reinforcing fibers.
