Modern aspects of computerization of the penitentiary healthcare

In Russia a number of large-scale federal projects aimed at computerization of the healthcare have been implemented. It resulted in integration of medical institutions into common information space. The penitentiary healthcare sector has not been covered by this digital circuit, but nevertheless is successfully implementing information technologies in its work. The article presents the main results of computerization of the penitentiary healthcare and its actual challenges which shall be overcome in order to ensure a whole new level of medical service.
