MODERN APPROACHES TO MEASURING STONE VOLUME IN PATIENTS WITH UROLITHIASIS (ACCORDING TO COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY)
D. VARYuHINA, M. ChEHONACKAYa, A. ROSSOLOVSKIY, O. KONDRAT'EVA, I. ChEHONACKIYThe standard criteria of calculus in multispiral computed tomography– such as localization, size and density – are widely used for preliminary non-invasive assessment and differentiated approach to selection of the tactics for the surgical treatment of urolithiasis. In this review an alternative parameter of multispiral computed tomography – stone volume – is examined and its prognostic value is assessed as a predictor of the efficiency of calculus elimination in patients with urolithiasis.
