Models of functioning of central banks as a regulatory institution
Irina BitkinaThe presented article contains research materials on the review of models of functioning of central banks as a regulatory institution. The purpose of the study is to systematize and classify existing models of central bank organization based on their institutional features in ensuring the functioning of national financial and banking markets. The study sample consisted of various groups of countries, united both by geography and by the type of economy used in the last quarter of the twentieth century. The factors influencing the choice of a specific form of regulation of the financial, credit and monetary systems of the country are revealed. The novelty of the presented approach consists in taking into account both the structure of the national financial market and highlighting the features of its evolution, which can also act as a dynamic factor in the role of regulatory influence on economic processes.
