Mistletoe species depend on viscid seeds landing on suitable branches for parasitism, often requiring a limited set of seed dispersers. In Madagascar's southeastern rainforests, our study revealed a surprisingly diverse array of birds consuming mistletoe fruits, but with two small nocturnal lemur species as the major contributors to fruit removal.
