Mirko Zurovac (1941-2025): Sketch of intellectual biobibliograpy

In the first part of the paper, the principle philosophical aesthetic orientation of the contemporary Serbian aesthetician Mirko Zurovac, his academic activity and work in the Aesthetic Society of Serbia are considered. In the second part of the work, the basic features of his philosophical work are sketched and a brief overview of his wider socio- political intellectual involvement is given. It is shown that Zurovac follows a distinctly philosophically based aesthetic orientation and occupies an original and specific position among other significant contemporary Serbian aestheticians. Also, it is explained how Zurovac’s late philosophical project of the ontology of art should be understood as a special theory of artistic creativity.
