Mining Landscape Reconstruction after Ecological Restoration and Analysis of Its Implicit Correlation with Residents’ Psychological Stress and Mental Health

Objective
Long-term damaged mining landscapes bring continuous visual psychological pressure to surrounding residents, induce anxious and depressed mental states, and adversely affect public mental health. This paper explores the implicit correlation between landscape spatial reconstruction after mine ecological restoration and human psychological changes. It aims to optimize landscape design schemes, relieve residents’ chronic environmental psychological pressure and improve overall public mental health.
Subjects and Methods
This study selects residents living near restored mining sites as research participants. It adopts field landscape measurement, psychological questionnaire assessment and correlation analysis methods. It collects data on landscape visual indicators, residents’ environmental psychological pressure, real-time mental states and mental health levels, and excavates the hidden psychological influence path of reconstructed mining landscapes.
Results
Scientific and hierarchical landscape reconstruction effectively reduces visual discomfort and environmental psychological pressure caused by barren mining land. Well-designed restored landscapes stabilize residents’ fluctuating negative mental states, alleviate inner emotional irritability, and produce significant positive promotion effects on residents’ long-term mental health.
Conclusions
There is a significant implicit psychological interaction between post-restoration mining landscapes and human mental conditions. Human-oriented landscape reconstruction can persistently ease environmental psychological pressure, repair disordered mental states caused by ecological damage, protect public mental health, and provide humanized design references for subsequent mine ecological restoration projects.
