A sustainable oxidation protocol for the synthesis of oxaziridines from aldimines is described using hydrotalcite as a recyclable heterogeneous catalyst and hydrogen peroxide as a green oxidant. This operationally simple method proceeds under mild heating and avoids the need for chlorinated oxidants or metal-based reagents traditionally employed for imine oxidation. Across 25 representative substrates, including both aromatic and aliphatic aldimines, the transformation delivers the corresponding oxaziridines in yields up to 90%. The hydrotalcite catalyst can be readily recovered by filtration and reused with minimal loss of activity. Together, these features establish a practical, scalable, and environmentally conscious approach to oxaziridine synthesis that expands the toolbox of green nitrogen-transfer chemistry. Method optimization, scope, and limitations are discussed.
