ABSTRACT

Metal‐free halide perovskites (MFPs) hold promise for x‐ray detection due to their eco‐friendliness and tunable optoelectronic properties. However, their practical applications are limited by challenges such as insufficient structural stability, inefficient charge transport, and suboptimal detection sensitivity, which restrict their competitiveness against traditional metal‐based detectors. Here, we report the design, synthesis, and characterization of MPAZE‐N 2 H 5 I 3 , a novel MFP single crystal optimized via A‐site cation engineering to enhance structural stability and charge transport properties. The crystal exhibits a high resistivity of 1.28 × 10 13 Ω·cm and a low limit of detection (LoD) of 0.109 µGy air −1 at 10 V bias (minimum LoD), achieving an x‐ray imaging sensitivity of 2053 µC·Gy air −1 ·cm −2 at 20 V bias. These results validate its potential for next‐generation eco‐friendly x‐ray detection technologies.
