Metal-ion induced coacervation of a short peptide under acidic conditions

Zn 2+ induces coacervation of a short aromatic peptide at low pH via metal–peptide interactions. Secondary metal ions tune coacervate lifetime, polarity, and viscosity, enabling simple design of responsive peptide-based soft materials.
