This work reports the synthesis, spectroscopic characterization, structural investigation, and biological evaluation of two new mercury(II) coordination compounds, ([HL′][Hg(HL) (μ‐Cl) 2 ]) n ( 1 ) and ([LHg] 2 (μ‐HL″) 2 (μ‐Cl) 2 Hg(H 2 O) 3 )·H 2 O ( 2 ), with H 2 L as 2,5‐pyridinedicarboxylic acid, L′ as 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine, and HL″ as 2,4‐diamino‐6‐hydroxypyrimidine. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction was employed to determine the crystal and molecular structures of the compounds, while other techniques such as FTIR, NMR, PXRD, FESEM, EDS, TGA, BET, DLS, and Zeta were applied to understand their composition and physicochemical properties. Structural analysis confirmed that compound ( 1 ) is a one‐dimensional coordination polymer, which has been formed through μ‐Cl bridges, while compound ( 2 ) consists of a supramolecular structure that is stabilized by hydrogen bonding and π–π stacking interactions. The extended crystal structures are formed through coordination and further stabilized by noncovalent interactions. Both mercury(II) coordination compounds exhibited notable in vitro antibacterial and cytotoxic activities, warranting further mechanistic and toxicological evaluation before any therapeutic extrapolation, given the well‐documented systemic toxicity of mercury.
