Meeting the Basic Needs of International Students

Following the COVID‐19 pandemic, many International Student Services offices are exploring and expanding the ways in which they support the basic needs of students, from food, housing, transportation, childcare, health care to mental health and wellbeing to financial assistance. In this article, three seasoned international education administrators, well‐versed in international student concerns, address some unique characteristics and challenges experienced by this population as well as innovative ideas and services they have implemented to address basic needs.
