Mechanochemical synthesis of Ag nanoparticles using ascorbic acid

Silver nanoparticles were successfully prepared via mechanochemical synthesis using ascorbic acid as a reducing agent within 30 min. The crystallite size of the product is in tens of nanometers and it exhibits decent antibacterial activity.
