Mass Sensors
Semra Akgönüllü, Ilgım Göktürk, Handan YavuzIn this chapter, we focus on the latest advancements in mass-based sensors, which are making an ever-increasing contribution to the field of virus detection. Clearly, there is a strong general interest in viruses and their interactions with their hosts. As a result, here we primarily present recent progress in natural acoustic wave sensors and piezoelectric sensors. We also discuss recent analytical developments and several of the recent virus detection works, choosing notable instances of the significant contribution of mass-sensitive sensors in virology.
