Layered monophosphate tungsten bronzes as a mechanistic framework to study solvent-coupled multivalent ion storage

The recently discovered family of layered monophosphate tungsten bronzes acts as a model platform to study multivalent ion intercalation by combining in situ X-ray diffraction, electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance, and ab initio calculations.
