Large Anogenital Bowen Disease Misdiagnosed as Chronic Eczema for Nine Years: A Case Report Highlighting the Importance of Early Biopsy

Persistent treatment‐resistant anogenital plaques should not be repeatedly managed as chronic eczema without histopathological confirmation. Early biopsy of atypical or non‐resolving lesions facilitates timely diagnosis of Bowen disease, prevents prolonged diagnostic delay, and enables treatment before progression to invasive squamous cell carcinoma.
