La VEJ e la Shoah in Italia

Abstract

The PMJ and the Shoah in Italy. Research Perspectives of an Edition on the National Socialist Persecution of the Jews in Europe. 2021 saw the completion of the 16-volume German-language publication „The Persecution and Murder of European Jews by Nazi Germany, 1933–1945“. The author, who contributed to the volume on Italy, explores the key themes and research opportunities that arise from these sources and from broadening the perspective on the Nazi persecution of Jews in Europe to include the case of Jews under Italian rule outside Italy and on Italian territory under Nazi occupation in 1943–1945. An English version is currently being prepared.
