Khám phá nhu cầu trước trải nghiệm của khách du lịch nội địa đối với du lịch sáng tạo làm mão, mặt nạ Khmer tỉnh Vĩnh Long
Xuân Mai Lê Thị
This study aims to investigate domestic
tourists’ demand for creative tourism experiences centered on Khmer ceremonial
headdress and mask making in Vinh Long Province. Drawing upon the experience
economy and co-creation theories, tourist demand is examined across four
dimensions: entertainment, education, esthetics, and escapism. Data were
collected from 117 domestic tourists using convenience sampling and
subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics in SPSS version
25.0. Within the surveyed sample, the findings reveal strong demand across
all four experiential dimensions, with mean scores ranging from 4.02 to
4.12; entertainment recorded the highest demand, followed by esthetics,
education, and escapism. In terms of expectations, tourists desire the creative
freedom to apply colors and patterns using traditional
techniques, participate directly in painting patterns and motifs, keep
their self-made products, and engage with cultural narratives, preferring a
duration of 30 to under 60 minutes and a willingness to pay from VND
100,000 to under VND 200,000. These results provide preliminary empirical
evidence for designing interactive, co-creative tourism products that
align with the preservation of Khmer culture within the specific study
context of Vinh Long Province.
