Judicial practice on civil disputes in the field of dentistry

Objective. To identify trends and patterns in the development of civil proceedings in cases related to the quality of dental care provided to the population of the Russian Federation in 2023—2025. Material and methods. The study was based on officially published court decisions of general jurisdiction courts selected using the electronic database of court acts “SudAkt”. Civil cases on consumer protection, compensation for damages, and compensation for non-pecuniary damage arising from the improper provision of dental services were analyzed. Results. The prevalence of disputes related to orthopedic and surgical dental care, as well as the key role of forensic medical examination in resolving such cases, has been established. Conclusion. The obtained results indicate the need to improve legal regulation, develop unified standards for the quality of dental care, and validate methods for assessing the results of treatment.
