It’s Not Writer’s Block: A Resource Guide for Improving Writing Productivity

ABSTRACT

Writer’s block is a misnomer for behavior better described as writing avoidance and escape. This resource guide reviews several influences on writing productivity, reports the findings from behavior analytic studies, presents solution‐based strategies, and considers implementation and research implications. Publication‐seeking practitioners and researchers are encouraged to adopt these strategies in pursuit of their writing objectives.
