Isomeric enrichment of 1,3-bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane by sequential crystallization of its mono- and di-iodide salts

A new synthetic strategy, coupled with NMR and XRD studies, revealed that the commercial mixture of bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane, used in the formation of functional perovskites, could be enriched from the initial 3 : 1 to the final 13 : 1 cis  :  trans ratio.
