Invisible labour: experiences of racially minoritised nurses in the UK

Benjamin Olusola Ajibade

In this article, the author draws on his experiences to discuss the inequalities faced by racially minoritised mental health nurses in the UK. He examines these experiences through the concepts of invisible labour and colourism, and suggests structural changes for healthcare organisations to improve governance and accountability around these issues and offer culturally responsive support.
