After the introduction of the food embargo and sanctions restrictions on imports of food and agricultural raw materials into the country, the priority task became to increase its own agricultural potential and ensure production in accordance with existing domestic needs and their growth, taking into account restrictions on external supplies. Therefore, at this stage of the development of agricultural production, the influx of investments into the industry is one of the factors ensuring its sustainability and opportunities for further development, since agribusiness's own financial resources are limited against the background of the crisis. In the course of the study, a hypothesis was formed that the level of investment support for the development of agricultural production is a factor in ensuring the growth of agricultural production. To test the hypothesis put forward, a comparative assessment of the indicators of agricultural production in the period 2021-2025, as well as indicators of investment support for agricultural development in the period 2020-2024 in the regions of the Central Federal District was carried out. It was found that the investment policy in dynamics by 2024 saw a decrease in the volume of funds allocated to the fixed assets of the industry, while both in the country as a whole and in the Central Federal District, in 2024 the figure was slightly more than 7 rubles of investment per 100 rubles of products. The hypothesis put forward in the framework of the study was confirmed by the example of the regions of the Central Federal District: there is a direct and close relationship between the volume of investments in agriculture and the volume of products produced in the regions of the Central Federal District, which is only increasing in dynamics by 2024 and only by 2025 the indicator has decreased slightly. At the same time, it should be noted that even taking into account the one-year time lag and the short period for correlation analysis, the revealed close relationship between these indicators indicates a high return on investment in the industry.
