This study investigated the radiation shielding performance of Al 7075 matrix composites reinforced with specific ratios (5-10-15%) of B4C and TiB2 ceramic reinforcement materials. Using Phy-x/PSD software, main radiation shielding parameters such as the mass attenuation coefficient (MAC) and linear attenuation coefficient (LAC) were analyzed for different MMC radiation shielding compositions. The primary objective of the study was to determine the radiation shielding performance of boron ore and its derivatives, which hold strategic importance for Türkiye, with the aim of expanding their application areas particularly in the defense industry and increasing their added value. It was observed that the addition of B4C slightly reduced gamma shielding compared to the Al 7075 (S1) due to its effect of lowering the material’s average atomic number (Z).
