Investigating the properties of star cluster complexes in the collisional ring galaxy Arp 147
Miora Rakototafika, Zara RandriamanakotoAbstract
Young massive star clusters (YMCs) are essential tools to understand star formation mechanisms and galaxy evolution. However, there are only a few YMC study in colliding galaxies such as collisional ring galaxies (CRGs). This work uses archival HST/WFPC2 data (PSF ∼ 0.15") to perform a photometric study of the YMC complexes of the CRG Arp 147 with the aim to investigate the effects of host environment on the star cluster properties.
