Self‐controlled analysis: mean episodes reduced from 2.72 to 1.18 per year; 56.6% reduction. Treatment effect consistent across subgroups, from patients using intranasal corticosteroids (ICS) to those with concurrent chronicc rhinosinusitis (CRS). Findings support prospective randomized controlled trial evaluation of azelastine for recurrent acute rhinosinusitis (RARS).
