Interpretation of technical operation specifications of traditional chinese medicine health care services (Non-Medical)—Tuina

On December 27, 2023, the China Association of Chinese Medicine published the group standard titled Technical Operation Specifications of Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Care Services (Non-Medical)—Tuina (T/CACM 1560.1—2023). The proposal was initiated by the Zhonghe Sub-health Service Center, and was subsequently drafted by multiple industry experts. In addition, the drafting process involved several institutions, including Hunan Medical University and Hunan University of Chinese Medicine. Comprehensive regulations have been formulated, delineating the preparatory measures before operation, operational procedures and requirements, post-Tuina management, precautions, and contraindications associated with Tuina services. The objective of this study is to standardize the technical operations of Tuina in traditional Chinese medicine health care services, thereby ensuring the safety and efficacy of the services. This article provides an interpretation of the main contents of the standard, with the expectation of offering standardized guidance for traditional Chinese medicine health care services and enhancing the service quality.
