Interpretation of cardiotocogram parameters in newborns with acidosis

The review presents the pathophysiological mechanisms of fetal acidemia and an explanation for the formation of changes in CTG parameters during labor. The features of fetal resistance to hypoxia, changes in the basal rhythm, the occurrence of decelerations, pathological phenomena such as «zig-zag», «double mountain peak», saltatoric and sinusoidal rhythms are analyzed.
