INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS — FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE

The article reveals the key aspects of internal communications in a modern company: functions, structure, content, and performance indicators. The types of communications are defined, and the characteristics of each type are described. The stages of building an effective communication system are described, including setting goals, analyzing the audience, selecting tools, and monitoring performance. The indicators (metrics) for evaluating the effectiveness of internal communications, such as employee activity on corporate resources, engagement in discussions, participation in corporate events, etc., are revealed. The results of a survey conducted among top managers and employees of a Russian company are presented. According to the data, employees highly appreciated the reliability of official sources of information, their involvement in discussions, and the importance of corporate events for shaping the company’s culture and team cohesion. However, the study also identified certain challenges, including management delays.
