Integrating Social and Emotional Learning With Multimodal Learning Approaches

Abstract

This chapter explores the integration of social and emotional learning (SEL) with multimodal learning approaches (MLAs) to enhance educational experiences and develop global competencies. Emphasizing the interconnectedness between SEL, MLA, and global competencies, including emotional literacies, media literacy, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and global citizenship education, this chapter provides an in-depth overview of the concepts and related competencies. Furthermore, current research, practical applications in educational settings, and the far-reaching benefits of SEL and MLA integration are outlined.
