Integrating Media and Information Literacy in English Academic classes to empower students for the digital age
NGUYEN Thi Viet NgaThis article explores the imperative need for the integration of Media and Information Literacy (MIL) into the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) classes. In a digital-dominated era, students gearing up for academic discourse must not only possess language proficiency but also the skills required to navigate and critically engage with an array of media sources. This article contends that integrating MIL in the EAP curriculum is pivotal with substantial benefits. It also provides practical strategies that educators can apply into their pedagogical approaches to integrate MIL and empower students with the skills necessary for the 21st century.
