Integrated management of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary causing stem rot of Ajwain
Kajal Mishra, Sushil Kumar SinghThe field experiment was conducted in Ayodhya during 2024-2025 cropping season to evaluate the different treatments for the management of stem rot of ajwain. Stem rot symptoms in Ajwain appeared earliest in control (65 DAS) and latest with Propiconazole (75 DAS), showing effective delay by bioagents and fungicide. Propiconazole was found to be the most effective treatment among all other treatments, having percent disease control of 60.86 per cent. Vermi-compost @ 5.0 tones/ha + T. harzianum @ 5.0 kg/ha was the second most effective in reducing the disease incidence by (53.63%), followed by FYM @ 25 tones/ha + T. harzianum @ 5.0 kg/ha, which resulted in the reduction of disease incidence (49.28 %). The minimum reduction in disease incidence was found in intercropping with fenugreek (1:1 ratio) was 14.50 per cent.
