Insect Pests of Some Medicinal Plants in Madhya Pradesh

The insect pests attacking eight medicinal plants of forestry origin, used in preparation of Ayurvedic medicines, ointments, etc., have been reported. Some of the insect species have been recorded for the first time. The status of different pests, their nature of damage and the period of occurrences have also been described.
