Objectives: The incidence of weigh regain after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) is high. TONGEE duodenum-jejunal bypass liner (DJBL) has been proven to reduce the weight of obese patients. This study aims to investigate the effect of TONGEE DJBL on weight loss in patients who have regained weight after LSG. Methods: A cohort with two non-randomized groups study was conducted at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing. Recruitment period is from August 2023 to September 2025 for patients with simple obesity undergoing DJBL treatment and those who have regained weight after LSG surgery. Compare the weight loss effects of two groups using univariate and multivariate analysis. Results: A total of 30 patients with simple obesity and 16 patients who regained weight after LSG surgery were recruited. The incidence of complications in two groups, total weight loss percent (10.98±5.96 vs10.36±3.78, 95% CI: 8.84, 13.11), and excess weight loss percent (50.87±37.28 vs 50.38±29.16, 95% CI:37.54, 64.22) do not have statistical difference(P>0.05). Three months after TONGEE DJBL surgery, both groups of patients showed a decrease in body fat percentage and an increase in muscle percentage. Conclusions: TONGEE DJBL can be used as an endoscopic treatment option for patients who regain weight after LSG surgery.
