ABSTRACT

In this article, we discuss how housing insecurity affects millions of students at institutions across the United States. We use practical examples from our own universities to show how practitioners can implement programs that help students find and secure housing. We highlight innovative on‐ and off‐campus approaches. Campus‐community partnerships are instrumental in confronting housing insecurity to improve students’ retention and graduation. We offer recommendations for staff and faculty to ensure students have a place where they belong.
