N ‐Heterocycle Promoted the Synthesis of Tertiary Amides

A novel approach for the construction of tertiary amides via hydroamination of secondary amides with acrylates promoted by N ‐heterocycles (NHs) is described. The developed system enables a range of N ‐alkyl‐2,6‐difluorobenzamides to deliver N , N ‐dialkyl tertiary amides, which serves as a complementary alternative to existing synthetic protocols. Mechanistic studies confirm the pivotal function of NHs in this reaction system.
