The coated vinyl industries use a variety of chemical inhibitors in printing inks to prevent foaming of the vinyl compound in discrete areas. This technique allows sculptured decoration to be produced in the inhibitor systems by examining their effectiveness at various levels of expansion. Additionally, the rates of expansion and degrees of inhibition of typical blowing agent systems are compared.
