Influence of Nitrogen on Crop Duration, Seed Yield and its Components in Glory Lily (Gloriosa superba L.)

An experiment to study the influence of nitrogen on the duration of the crop and seed yield in Gloriosa superba L., an important medicinal plant revealed that the nitrogen application had a favourable effect in enhancing the vegetative growth and prolonging the crop duration. The seed yield and its components increased with increase in the dosed of nitrogen from zero to 160 kg. per hectare.
