Influence of Calcareous Deposits on Galvanic CP in Seawater

Durability of metallic structures in seawater is often associated with the efficiency of protective systems such as cathodic protection (CP). The formation of calcareous deposits depends on the seawater conditions, but specifically on the saturation level with respect to calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and temperature. The purpose of this study was to determine how calcareous deposit formation in seawater influences the performance of galvanic CP.
