This study aims to examine the impact of indoor environment, organizational culture, knowledge management, and data flow on academic library service quality within Chinese universities. It further investigates the mediating roles of supply chain integration and intellectual exports, as well as the moderating role of sustainable development goals (SDGs) orientation in strengthening service performance outcomes. A quantitative research design was adopted using a structured survey administered to academic library professionals in Chinese higher education institutions. A total of 245 valid responses were analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling with SmartPLS. Reliability, convergent validity, discriminant validity, and structural relationships were assessed through bootstrapping procedures to test direct, indirect, and moderating effects. The results reveal that the indoor environment, organizational culture, knowledge management, and data flow significantly and positively influence academic library service quality. Supply chain integration and intellectual exports partially mediate these relationships. Additionally, SDGs orientation strengthens the effects of supply chain integration and intellectual exports on service quality. This study proposes and validates an integrated, multi-layered framework that combines organizational, environmental, operational, intellectual, and sustainability dimensions to explain service quality in academic libraries. The findings offer strategic insights for enhancing library performance and sustainability alignment (SDGs) in higher education institutions.
