Increasing Parent Access to Behavioral Supports Through Project Extension for Community Health Outcomes

Parents and caregivers of children with disabilities often report that challenging behavior is one of the single most consequential factors in the quality of life for their children and families. Intervention is needed to provide children and families with the services and supports necessary to address problem behavior and teach positive, prosocial alternatives. This article describes the implementation of parent education on challenging behavior for families of young children using the Project Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes service delivery model.
