Improvement of the employment system for the graduates of medical higher education institutions as a means to overcome staff shortage in the regional healthcare

The article explores the employment support system for the graduates of the medical higher education institutions aimed at overcoming the problem of medical staff shortage at the regional level. Using the example of the Stavropol Territory, regulatory, legal and organizational mechanisms are described, including functioning of the cooperation with the regional healthcare department and concerned employers. The article presents data on the employment of the specialist and medical residency graduates for 2021-2025 demonstrating the anchoring of the qualified specialists in the region. The conclusion is made about efficient integration of the educational institutions into the regional healthcare staffing strategy.
