Improved ACE encryption algorithm for IoT security
Xuehua Zhu, Liping WuAbstract
In the IoT smart home scenario, secure data transmission faces challenges and requires effective prevention of data leakage and protection of user privacy. Therefore, a smart home data transmission scheme based on lightweight access control encryption is proposed. This solution combines ciphertext compression technology that supports access control and embeds access control policies into the gateway of smart home systems, thereby achieving access control for the confidentiality of IoT smart home information. The simulation experiment results showed that when there were 10 layers of access control, the communication overhead of the proposed scheme in the encryption and decryption stages was about 163 KB and 102 KB, respectively. In actual information data transmission tests, the proposed scheme took about 1.96 s and 0.86 s to transmit 1,000 files from groups A and B of smart homes, with information accuracy rates of about 92 % and 95 %, respectively. The results show that the proposed method is a secure, effective, and accurate means of ensuring data transmission, while reducing system overhead. The study can provide technical support for the secure transmission of data in IoT smart home scenarios.
