IMPORT SUBSTITUTION AS A STRATEGIC VECTOR FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL REGIONAL AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES

This article examines the effectiveness of small regional agricultural businesses in the face of stringent sanctions imposed on the domestic agricultural sector by a number of so-called "unfriendly countries," primarily the European Union and the United States. Imported into the Russian Federation, thereby ensuring independence and dynamic growth. The article assesses the performance of domestic small agricultural businesses, using indicators such as grain, sugar beet, sunflower seed, and meat production volumes, and determines their contribution to both national and regional production. Considering the fact that agricultural land is not only not expanding, but is actually shrinking, being used for other purposes, including road construction, industrial facilities, and housing, small Russian agricultural businesses, by implementing digital, unmanned, and automated technologies, have managed to rapidly increase agricultural production, despite the sanctions.
