Impact of HPV vaccine on male disease

Patrícia Moreira Gomes, Carmen Lisboa

Human papillomavirus infection represents a public health burden in males, contributing substantially to anogenital, head and neck cancers, and benign conditions such as anogenital warts. This article reviews the epidemiology of HPV-related disease in men, the evidence supporting HPV vaccination across age groups and risk populations, and highlights the rationale for gender-neutral vaccination programs.
