In situ generated dual oxyanions enable bifunctional synergy to overcome dehydrogenation limitations in HMF electrooxidation

The bifunctional synergy of co-adsorbed oxyanions boosts HMFOR kinetics. SO 4 2− primarily accelerates Ni(OH) 2 dehydrogenation kinetics. Meanwhile, MoO 4 2− predominantly strengthens HMF adsorption and facilitates its dehydrogenation kinetics.
