Idiopathic Bilateral Trigeminal Neuralgia: A Rare Clinical Presentation and Diagnostic Challenge

One of the most terrible illnesses a person can have is trigeminal neuralgia (TN), commonly known as “Tic douloureux.” This illness is characterized by an abrupt, intense, generally unilateral, fleeting shooting pain that affects one or more trigeminal nerve branches. This case report describes a patient with idiopathic bilateral TN and discusses the clinical presentation, diagnostic challenges, and treatment strategies.
