As part of the 91st ICOLD meeting held in Gothenburg, Sweden, a technical excursion was arranged for delegates to visit the historic Trollhättan locks and the Lilla Edet dam, all on the Göta Älv river downstream of Lake Vänern in Sweden. This briefing note gives a background to the works proposed and in progress in summer 2023.
