Aparna Potluru, Yasmin Nikookam, Jonathan Guckian

The article highlights TikTok as a growing source of health-related information regarding hyperpigmentation, but emphasises concerns about the accuracy and reliability of the content. The study calls for dermatologists to engage more on social media to counter misinformation and promote accurate, evidence-based treatments, as the platform heavily influences public perception and treatment choices.
